A Bird's Song

Without looking where I was going
I came across a blue bird
singing in the tree
As the bird’s song caresses my face
and sings me into a loving embrace
my feet lift off the ground
sending me over the trees
the clouds
the stars
to heaven
He sings love to all those around
giving praise and hope
love and warmth
The song sends a flood of heat
throughout my soul
